As the crusaders in the 13 th century decided to found the name-giving church “Agios Jannis” in honor of apostle paulus, who rested here on his way to rome, so built the architect maria ramisch  those three houses a stones throw from the church, herself touched by this place`s magical spell.

Maria, firmly rooted in both lefkas and germany, returned a few years ago as an architect to this island in order to settle down.
